EFDSC finished an outstanding joint 8th position out of 29 clubs across Essex

To put this into perspective, some individual race categories attracted over 450 swimmers (both boys and girls) and to be placed in the top 10 in such a competitive and large county is remarkable. Despite being a relatively small club in relation to others, EFDSC collected 6 Gold, 9 Silver and 10 Bronze medals in addition to a large number of pennants and personal best times. Special mention goes to our young 9/10 year old boys’ and girls’ relay teams who were placed 6^th out of 10 clubs – many of these swimmers were competing for the very first time. A huge well done to you all.

A huge shout out to Charley J who achieved an Essex Best Time for the 50m backstroke in the 17 years and over category!!

13 of our swimmers have been placed in the Top Swimmers category 2023 for their respective age groups! Congratulations to Ayla Z (2^nd), Charley J (3^rd), Jes S (4^th), Sean C (9^th), Azzurra C (11^th), Martha B (14^th), Oscar L (14^th), Lily H (15^th), Lily W (21^st), Eliza S (22^nd), Julia S (22^nd), Reece B (25^th) and Hughie L (26^th).

The hard work, dedication and commitment shown by our swimmers has been absolutely astounding and we could not be prouder. The future is certainly bright for EFDSC and its swimmers. A huge thank you to all of our coaches who have steered Epping to such a promising start to the swimming year. We cannot wait to see what the rest of 2023 brings.
